Ursula, Flotsam, and Jetsam

"Ursula was the first costume I had ever made to be worn on stage by another actress. Until then I had only constructed my own dresses and costumes, so it was a new challenge for me to design something with another person in mind. I had based my design off of the original 2008 Broadway production of The Little Mermaid starring Sherie Rene Scott as Ursula. I was obsessed with the way her tentacles looked on stage, and I knew I wanted to create something similar. The most challenging part was translating this huge Broadway costume into a high school budget friendly design."
