Columbine Tutu

This patchwork tutu was a passion project of mine. I was heavily inspired by the ever popular Arlecchino diamond pattern seen in classic commedia dell'arte costumes. The outer fabric for this dress was 100% recycled out of old scraps I had left over from 7 years of sewing. I ended up with close to 400 individually cut diamonds that I sewed together to create the colorful patchwork fabric, and 10+ yards of tulle for the underskirt. This was my first time making a ballerina costume and while it was a bit tricky at times, I am very proud of the results!
